The Ant and the Giant
Project Type: Independent Animated Film / Experimental Animation
Scope of Work: Concept, Direction, Animation, Editing, Post-production
Author: Paweł Pauksztełło
Music: Paweł Łukowiec
Oboe: Igor Trella
The Ant and the Giant is an independent animated film built around the contrast between something extremely small and something enormous. This difference in scale becomes the starting point for a symbolic and experimental visual narrative.
The film uses movement, rhythm, composition and changes of perspective as its main storytelling tools. Rather than relying on dialogue or conventional narration, the story develops primarily through imagery and the relationships between individual visual elements.
The contrast between the ant and the giant creates an opportunity to explore scale, space and proportion while leaving the imagery open enough for the viewer to form their own interpretation.
The visual composition is accompanied by music composed by Paweł Łukowiec, with the oboe part performed by Igor Trella. The music helps shape the rhythm and atmosphere of the film and reinforces its symbolic and experimental character.
The project is part of my personal exploration of experimental animation and visual storytelling, where form, movement and metaphor are as important as the story itself.
