Seek is an independent animated short created for the Filmujemy Kielce! competition. The starting point for the project was Mojżesza Pelca Street in Kielce, treated not only as a specific urban location but also as inspiration for an original visual narrative.

The film uses animation, rhythm, symbolism and visual metaphor to move beyond a conventional documentary presentation of a city street. The urban space becomes the starting point for a more personal and interpretative story.

The project was created within a competition whose purpose was to present the streets of Kielce in an unconventional and innovative way. Animation made it possible to transform a real urban space into material for a distinctive visual language.

“Seek” received a 2nd Prize at the 7th edition of the Filmujemy Kielce! competition in 2021. It was one of three films to receive equal second prizes from the jury.

The competition was organized by the Young Cinema Foundation in cooperation with the Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions in Kielce. Filmujemy Kielce! was an accompanying event of the EUROSHORTS International Film Festival.
