Colors is an independent animated film presenting an artistic and creative interpretation of the city of Kielce. The project uses color, form, movement and rhythm to create a personal image of the city and the emotions connected with its urban space.
Color is not used merely as an aesthetic element. It becomes one of the main storytelling tools, creating associations, emotions and relationships between individual elements of the animated world.
The film uses abstract form and visual metaphor to transform the experience of the city into a short, dynamic animated composition.
The visual composition is accompanied by music composed by Paweł Łukowiec, with piano performed by Marek Mizera. The music and imagery work together to shape the rhythm and atmosphere of the film.
“Colors” won 1st Place in the “Filmujemy Kielce” competition in 2014, organized by Stowarzyszenie Kino Mówi.
It was the first award-winning animated film in my portfolio and one of the projects that helped define the direction of my later personal work in animation, motion design and visual storytelling.
